Max Pouvreau

Maxime Pouvreau is the founder and President of Petit Pot, a French-inspired dessert company headquartered in Emeryville, California. What began as a culinary experiment in a San Francisco restaurant kitchen in 2014 has, under Max’s leadership, grown into the fastest-growing brand of premium organic refrigerated desserts in the U.S. Today, Petit Pot’s puddings and pots de crème are crafted by a diverse team of 50 employees from over 10 countries, and can be found in more than 4,000 retail locations nationwide—including Whole Foods Market, Publix, Costco, Amazon Fresh, and HungryRoots.

Originally from southwest France, Max was raised in a region renowned for its rich pastry tradition. By age 12, he had talked his way into a volunteer role at a renowned local pâtisserie, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. After honing his craft as a pastry chef in Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe and the U.S., he brought his expertise to the Bay Area, where he combined classic French techniques with clean-label ingredients to create what would become Petit Pot’s signature dessert.
